HANA ŽELEZNÁ : INTO THE WORDS : 2009

Hana Železná (CZ) is an experimental, animation and documentary filmmaker from Prague. In 2009 she stayed for a two months period in Rotterdam. Besides working at De Filmwerkplaats she created a video work especially for the location of Sub urban video lounge: Into The Words, a double screen video text installation
'The small screening room under the café bar is an intimate space, always full of some part of human voices, bustles and indefinable sounds. So I decided to do a soundless video installation based on words. In each word is hidden some essence of the origin of the word. I took two words and tried to visualise their essence.’
