Olphaert den Otter : Swannzij : 2003 - 2004

In 2004 Rotterdam artist Olphaert den Otter made three multimedial wall drawings accompanying the Ro-theater performances about Marcel Proust's á La recherche du temps perdu. The projection in Subu Vilo - Olphaert preferred to show the images on its original wall drawing size - was one of the works that initiated our series Long Shots: the uninterrupted screening of one work during one week.
Re-analyzing the concept of Long Shots we thought it would be interesting to have a fresh experience with the elusiveness of time in these 'animated drawings': Olphaerts representation of Proust's fascinating work where the flow of time plays such a crucial role.
