XOÁN ANLEO / SATO ENDO / BAS NOORDERMEER : NiMESIS I II, DIEGESIS I II : 2010

Spanish artist Xoán Anleo came to Rotterdam as artist in residence in Duende. He is a filmmaker/video artist who's passion is movement: seen through the camera. During his residency he made a double-screen video installation inspired by the heartbeat rhythm of the piling machines on de kop van Zuid.
Japanese artist Sato Endo came to Rotterdam with a passion for movement: performing as a dancer/ choreographer/ improviser, with an interest in working with artists from other disciplines like musicians, visual artists, filmmakers…

NIMESIS and DIEGESIS is a series of films with Sato's improvised movements filmed by Xoán Anleo and Bas Noordermeer. A concentrated unity of movement, film and space.
